## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: UPON LANDING AT SALT LAKE INTERNATIONAL ON RUNWAY 17, 12-23-95, AT 0958 MST, N60PT BLEW A LEFT TIRE CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE LEFT FLAP AND GEAR DOOR. N60PT, A GULFSTREAM IV, TAXIED UNDER IT'S OWN POWER TO THE RAMP. RUNWAY 17 WAS CLOSED APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS DUE TO DEBRIS REMOVAL. CAPTAIN SMITH INDICATED THE TAXIWAYS AND RUNWAYS AT PONTIAC, MICHIGAN, WERE PATCHY WITH ICE AND SNOW, BUT NOT ABNORMAL TO CREATE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKES AND WHEELS. NO INDICATIONS WERE SHOWING WITH THE AIRCRAFT WARNING SYSTEMS PRIOR TO LANDING. GULFSTREAM REPRESENTATIVES AND MECHANICS WORKED ON THE AIRCRAFT AFTER THE INCIDENT PREPARING THE AIRCRAFT FOR A FERRY FLIGHT TO LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA. A FERRY PERMIT WAS ISSUED AND THE AIRCRAFT FLEW TO LONG BEACH 12-24-95 WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE INCIDENT IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION BY GULFSTREAM AND ROGER SMITH WILL ADVISE THE FAA OF ANY FINDINGS. THIS IS A FINAL REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
