## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: WHILE ENROUTE JFK TO MCUN, ALLEGRO FLT GROZ19, A 727-247 DEVELOPED AN OIL LEAK ON #2 ENGINE. THEY DIVERTED TO ATLANTA AND UPON TOUCHDOWN EXPERIENCED SEVERE VIBRATION FROM THE NOSE WHEELS. SMOKE WAS REPORTED COMING OUT OF THE NOSE WHEEL WELL AND THE CAPT. STOPPED THE AIRCRAFT ON THE RUNWAY AND ORDERED AN EVACUATION OUT OF THE REAR OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE 2 REAR SLIDES WERE DEPLOYED AND THE PAX STARTED TO EVACUATE. WHEN FIRE/RESCUE REACHED THE AIRCRAFT THEY SAW NO FIRE AND THE EVACUATION WAS HALTED. APPROX. 10 TO 12 PAX HAD USED THE SLIDES, THE REST CAME OUT THE AFT AIRSTAIRS. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
