## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON DECEMBER 31, 1995, AT APPROXIMATELY 1630 WHILE ON A RETURN FLIGHT FROM GRAND CANYON AIRPORT TO BOULDER CITY AIRPORT, NEVADA FLYING A DEHAVILLAND DHC-3T CARRYING TEN PASSENGERS ON BOARD. THE AIRCRAFT N53KA EXPERIENCED TOTAL LOSS OF POWER APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES NORTHEAST OF BOULDER CITY AIRPORT, FORCING THE PILOT IN COMMAND TO EXECUTE AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON A POWER LINE ACCESS ROAD FROM AN ALTITUDE OF APPROXIMATELY 3500 FEET. THERE WERE NO SIGNS PRIOR TO FAILURE OF ENGINE. ALL INSTRUMENTS WERE NORMAL. LANDING WAS COMPLETED WITH ONLY MINOR DAMAGE TO RIGHT MAIN GEAR AND NACELLE. PASSENGERS WERE EVACUATED WITHOUT MAJOR INJURIES. SOME WERE TREATED FOR MINOR INJURIES AND WERE RELEASED. COMPANY, FAA, AND NTSB WERE NOTIFIED. NO NMAC REPORT FILED. THIS REPORT AND INVESTIGATION ARE CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
