## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON JANUARY 8, 1996, MR. RICHARD LEE BONEY WAS PILOT IN COMMAND OF PIPER N2540L, A PA-38 ON A FLIGHT FROM KEY WEST FLORIDA TO VERO BEACH, FLORIDA. AT APPROXIMATELY 1840 HE LANDED AT VERO BEACH WITH AN INOPERATIVE LANDING LIGHT. WHILE TAXIING TO THE RAMP WITHOUT THE LIGHT AND WHILE RECEIVING PROGRESSIVE INSTRUCTIONS THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK UNLIGHTED BARRICADES ON THE TAXIWAY. DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS MINOR AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE PILOTS OR PERSONS ON THE GROUND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
