## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON JANUARY 8, 1996, A BOEING 737-200, N185AW, OPERATED AS AMERICA WEST AIRLINES, INC. FLIGHT 780 FROM OMAHA, NE, TO PHOENIX, AZ, RETURNED TO OMAHA AFTER TAKEOFF DUE TO LOSS OF CABIN PRESSURE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FERRIED TO PHOENIX WHERE MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE CABIN PRESSURE CONTROLLER. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
