## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: N333QS WAS CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF ON RUNWAY 33 AT HYANNIS AT APPROXIMATELY 15:24 LOCAL TIME. THE CREW STATED THAT THE FORWARD VISIBILITY WAS ABOUT 1/2 MILE AT THE START OF THE TAKE OFF ROLL AND THAT, AT 50/60 KTS, THE VISIBILITY WAS DRASTICALLY REDUCED, THE AIRCRAFT SWERVED TO THE RIGHT, HIT A SNOW BANK AND WENT OFF THE RUNWAY INTO THE SNOW. BLOWING SNOW AND SPORADIC WHITE OUT CONDITIONS HAD EXISTED DURING THE AFTERNOON AND THE RUNWAY EDGES WERE INDISTINCT. IT APPEARS THAT DUE TO THE UNEVEN OUTLINE OF THE RUNWAY THE PILOTS MAY HAVE BEEN VISUALLY INFLUENCED TO ALTER HEADING SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT, CONVERGING ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, AND UPON HITTING THE WHITE OUT, THE RIGHT WHEEL HIT AN OUT CROPPING OF DRIFTED SNOW CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO SUDDENLY SWERVE MORE TO THE RIGHT GOING OFF THE RUNWAY. BRAKING ACTION WAS REPORTED FAIR TO POOR. COMPANY HAS ALREADY SCHEDULED 3 HOURS SIMULATOR TRAINING AND 2 OR MORE OF FLIGHT TRAINING. NO FURTHER ACTION RECOMMENDED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
