## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT-IN-COMMAND WROTE: THE AIRCRAFT WAS LOCATED AT GATE E-11. AFTER ENGINE START, I HAD DIRECTED THE FIRST OFFICER TO CONTACT RAMP CONTROL FOR TAXI INSTRUCTIONS. I HAD PREVIOUSLY NOTICED A SAAB 340 PARKED OUT OF POSITION AT GATE E-9. DUE TO THE PROXIMITY OF THE AIRCRAFT, I REQUESTED MARSHALING ASSISTANCE FOR TAXI OUT. A MARSHALER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED ME WITH APPROPRIATE SIGNALS. TAXI WAS THEN BEGUN UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE MARSHALER. AS THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE MARSHALER, THE LEFT WING STRUCK THE SAAB 340. AFTER CONTACT, THE ENGINES WERE SHUT DOWN AND A NON-EMERGENCY DEPLANING OCCURRED. COMPANY PERSONNEL WERE CONTACTED. SUBMISSION OF THIS REPORT CLOSES THIS INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
