## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: MR. MARK G. STOVER (PIC) STATED HE WAS CONDUCTING NORMAL TAKEOFF PROCEDURES, WHEN AT APPROXIMATELY V1 SPEED HE EXPERIENCED A LOUD BANG AND THE AIRCRAFT VEERING TO THE LEFT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS UNCONTROLLABLE AND PROCEEDED APPROXIMATELY 2,500 FT. IN THE GRASS ADJACENT TO THE RUNWAY, STRIKING SEVEN RUNWAY LANDING LIGHTS. THE DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE LANDING LIGHTS WAS LIMITED TO THE MAIN LANDING GEAR AND RIGHT WING. THE INITIAL INVESTIGATION OF THE INCIDENT FOUND THE PROBABLE CAUSE OF THE NOISE WAS THE RIGHT MAIN OUTBOARD TIRE BLOWING CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO VEER TO THE LEFT. THE CERTIFICATE HOLDING OFFICE WILL BE FOLLOWING UP ON THE CAUSE OF THE TIRE MALFUNCTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
