## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AIRCRAFT LOST NOSEWHEEL STEERING 3 TO 5 SECONDS AFTER TOUCHDOWN ON RUNWAY 9R AT ATLANTA, GA. DIRECTIONAL CONTROL WAS MAINTAINED WITH DIFFERENTIAL BRAKING UNTIL AIRCRAFT WAS ALMOST STOPPED. NOSEWHEEL THEN LOCKED TO LEFT AND NOSEWHEEL FELL OFF EDGE OF RUNWAY. MAIN GEAR REMAINED ON RUNWAY. AIRCRAFT WAS NOT EMERGENCY EVACUATED AND NO AIRCRAFT DAMAGE WAS OBSERVED. AIRCRAFT WAS INSPECTED FOR SIDE LOAD LANDING AND NOSEWHEEL STEERING POTIENTIOMETER WAS REPLACED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
