## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON 02/03/96, AIR MIDWEST FLIGHT 5704 FLEW FROM SLN TO MCI. WHEN THE LANDING GEAR DOWN HANDLE WAS SELECTED, THE GEAR DID NOT GO DOWN. THE GEAR WAS LOWERED MANUALLY, AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. INVESTIGATION REVEALED THE HYDRAULIC POWER PACK WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED AFTER LANDING. THE LANDING GEAR OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS GOOD, AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
