NARRATIVE: CHARLES R. METHVIN WAS PILOT OF AIRCRAFT N1849M, A CESSNA 337 ON SUNDAY FEBRUARY 11, 1996, MAKING A ROUTINE LANDING ON RUNWAY 34 AT DEKALB PEACH TREE AIRPORT. ON HIS FIRST ATTEMPT TO LAND HE SAYS HE ENCOUNTERED WIND SHEAR CAUSING A HARD LANDING AND DAMAGE TO THE NOSE GEAR. HE WENT AROUND AND LANDED BUT DUE TO NOSE GEAR BEING BENT TO THE RIGHT HE LEFT THE RUNWAY ON THE END OF HIS ROLL AND DID MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
