## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT RELATED STATEMENT, DURING PATTERN WORK FOR RECURRENT TRAINING, THE PILOT (MR. KUNTZ) STATED THAT ON HIS THIRD APPROACH TO HAYWARD RUNWAY 28L, HE WAS DIVERTED BY HAYWARD TOWER. DURING THE NEXT ATTEMPT FOR A STOP AND GO, MR. KUNTZ NOTICED HE WAS LOW TO THE GROUND AND THE GEAR WASN'T DOWN. ALREADY AT REDUCED POWER, HE DECIDED TO LAND THE AIRPLANE GEAR UP. THE PILOT STATED THAT, "HE FORGOT TO PUT THE GEAR DOWN". THERE WAS NO PROPERTY (RUNWAY) DAMAGE INVOLVED. THE INVESTIGATION WAS COORDINATED WITH THE OPERATIONS UNIT. THIS INVESTIGATION IS CLOSED AT THIS TIME.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
