## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THIS WAS A PLEASURE/BUSINESS TRIP FROM HOUSTON, TX TO SAN ANGELO, TX. DURING LANDING GEAR EXTENSION AT SAN ANGELO, IT WAS NOTED THAT THE NOSE WHEEL DID NOT INDICATE FULL DOWN (NO GREEN LIGHT). FLY BY OVER SAN ANGELO TOWER CONFIRMED GEAR DOWN BUT NOSE WHEEL WAS COCKED 90 DEGREES. AIRCRAFT LANDED, GROUND OFF THE TIRE AND RIM, THEN THE NOSE GEAR FOLDED UP. THERE WAS MINOR SKIN DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. NO FIRE OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE STEERING BLOCK AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS FERRIED TO FLORIDA ON MARCH 5, 1996. INCIDENT CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
