## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: WHILE EN ROUTE FROM WASHINGTON DULLES (IAD) TO MANCHESTER, NH (MHT) AT 2,000 FEET THE LEFT ENGINE OIL CONTAMINATED LIGHT ILLUMINATED. AFTER SHUTTING DOWN AND SECURING THE LEFT ENGINE, THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO WASHINGTON DULLES. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 19R AT IAD AND TAXIED TO THE GATE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO PASSENGERS AND CREW AND NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
