## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT ON IFR FLIGHT, DEPARTED ROCHESTER, NY AT 1630 WITH DESTINATION OF PERKASIE, PA (N70). APPROACH WAS ABANDONED DUE TO WEATHER AND DIVERTED TO ALLENTOWN, PA (ABE). ILS APPROACH AT ABE WAS TERMINATED DUE TO POWER LOSS ON FIELD. EN ROUTE TO ALTERNATE OF LANCASTER, PA, PILOT WAS ADVISED THAT AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD IN STRONG WINDS, DAMAGING NOSEGEAR. NOSEGEAR DID NOT COLLAPSE. NO DAMAGE TO PROP OR ENGINE. PILOT COUNSELED ON PREFLIGHT/INFLIGHT WEATHER PLANNING. SUBMISSION OF THIS REPORT CLOSES THE INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
