## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: MR. TURLEY DEPARTED CULPEPER AIRPORT (W49) ON A LOCAL FLIGHT TO WARRENTON AIRPORT (W66) TO OBTAIN MAINTENANCE FOR HIS AIRCRAFT. AFTER CONDUCTING A VISUAL APPROACH AND LANDING TO RUNWAY 14 AT W66, A STRONG GUST OF WIND STRUCK MR. TURLEY'S AIRCRAFT AND IT VEERED OFF OF THE LEFT SIDE OF RUNWAY INTO THE GRASS AND MUD. THE NOSE WHEEL SHEARED OFF, ONE PROP BLADE WAS BENT, AND MINOR SKIN DAMAGE TO THE LOWER ENGINE COWL WAS EVIDENT. THE DAMAGE WAS NOT CONSIDERED SUBSTANTIAL. THIS MATTER IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
