## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON ABOUT A 31/2 MILE FINAL, I LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR @ 120 KIAS & HAD (3) GREEN GEAR DOWN & LOCKED LIGHTS; SAW THE NOSE GEAR IN THE SIDE CONVEX MIRROR. THE GEAR "FELT" DIFFERENT THAN USUAL & I RE-CYCLED THE GEAR AGAIN. AGAIN, (3) GREENS AND A NOSE GEAR IN THE MIRROR. ALSO, THE NOSE GEAR DID GO UP & AGAIN DOWN AS I WATCHED IT IN THE MIRROR. I TOUCHED DOWN ON THE RUNWAY, 21R @ PASCO ABOUT 10 KTS. ABOVE STALL SPEED. I KEPT FULL AFT ELEVATOR PRESSURE & EASED INTO THE BRAKES. THE NOSE GEAR HELD AS I CONTINUED MY ROLL-OUT. I CONTINUED TO FEEL UNEASY ABOUT THE GEAR & PROCEEDED TO PULL THE MIXTURE CONTROLS BACK TO IDLE CUT-OFF. (I WAS GOING TO SHUT DOWN; MOVE THE PROPS TO A HORIZONTAL POSITION & CALL FOR A TOW TO ELIMINATE A/C DAMAGE.) AS THE MIXTURES CAME BACK, THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AND I SKIDDED APPROXIMATELY 10-12 FEET STRAIGHT FORWARD. I CALLED THE TOWER, SECURED THE AIRCRAFT REGARDING FUEL, THROTTLES, MIXTURE, MAGS & MASTER AND EXITED THE AIRCRAFT. BERGSTROM AIRCRAFT CAME WITH A COME-ALONG AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED OFF THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
