## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

CROP DUSTER CRASHED AND BURNED. (-23) AIRCRAFT WAS LOADED WITH FERTILIZER (NITROGEN UREA PELLETS). LATE IN THE TAKEOFF ROLL (LEFT X-WIND) THE AIRCRAFT VEERED OFF NORTH SIDE OF EAST-WEST RUNWAY (TAKEOFF TO WEST). TIRE TRACKS IN THE GRASS/CLAY SURFACE INDICATE HARD BRAKING AFTER A/C RAN OFF RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER ON IT'S BACK. THE FUSELAGE AND RIGHT WING ROOT WERE CONSUMED BY FIRE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB FTW96LA159](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/FTW96LA159), Apr 3, 1996: Wsk Pzl Mielec M-18A (N2159K), Hughes, LA, destroyed, 1 fatal. Probable cause: the pilot exceeding the maximum authorized crosswind component of the airplane. Factors were the crosswind and the side sloping runway.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
