## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT WAS MANEUVERING THE AIRPLANE FOR A SWATH RUN ON A FIELD FROM WEST TO EAST. THE PILOT ESTABLISHED A LINE OF FLIGHT TO FLY ABOVE ONE WIRE AND BELOW A SECOND WIRE. THE PILOT STATED HE STRUCK THE WIRE HE INTENDED TO OVERFLY. THE COLLISION RESULTED IN THE LOSS OF 6" OF ONE PROPELLER BLADE, AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING AT THE OUTBOARD-MOST LEADING EDGE RIB. THE PILOT FLEW BACK TO HIS RUNWAY. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE KNEW OF THE WIRE'S PRESENCE, HOWEVER, THE LINE OF FLIGHT ESTABLISHED TO PASS UNDER ONE WIRE WAS NOT THE DESIRED FLIGHT PATH TO FLY ABOVE THE FIRST WIRE (THE STRUCK WIRE).

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
