## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING PUSHED FROM GATE 16 (JAN) TO THE TAXIWAY. DUE TO CONSTRUCTION NEAR THE GATE, GROUND PERSONNEL WERE REQUIRED TO PUSH THE AIRCRAFT FURTHER THAN NORMAL. WHEN THE TUG DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO STOP, THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO ROLL AND THE LEFT MAIN WHEEL BECAME STUCK IN THE GRASS AND MUD. THE AIRCRAFT WAS DEPLANED. AIRPORT PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT ASSISTED IN TOWING THE AIRCRAFT BACK ON TO THE TAXIWAY. THE TUG DRIVER REPORTEDLY RECEIVED A DRUG TEST AND THE TUG WAS INSPECTED BY THE COMPANY FOR IRREGULARITIES. THE TUG WAS FOUND TO HAVE A FAULTY BRAKE ASSIST BOOSTER WHICH INTERFERED WITH STOPPING. THE AIRCRAFT WAS INSPECTED AND RETURNED TO SERVICE. THE POI HAS HELD MEETINGS WITH DELTA AIRLINES CORPORATE SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE TO DISCUSS GROUND INCIDENTS. THE POI HAS ALSO INCREASED THE REQUIREMENT FOR RAMP INSPECTORS. From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
