## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(.4)THE PILOT WAS PRACTICING CROSSWIND LANDINGS TO RUNWAY 26. HE WAS MAKING A FULL-STOP LANDING AFTER TWO TOUCH-AND-GO LANDINGS. DURING THE LANDING ROLL, AS THE AIRPLANE WAS DECELERATING, THE LEFT WING LIFTED AND THE RIGHT WING STRUCK THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT REPORTED THAT THE WINDS WERE FROM 160 TO 200 DEGREES AT 8 TO 10 KNOTS, WITH GUSTS TO 20 KNOTS. HE STATED '...A GUST OF WIND CAUGHT THE LEFT WING AND TIPPED THE AIRCRAFT....'

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC96LA092](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC96LA092), Apr 20, 1996: Cessna 175 (N7002M), Pittsfield, MA, substantial damage. Probable cause: the pilot's inadequate crosswind compensations during the landing roll.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
