## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON APRIL 20, 1996, PILOT, MR. VICTOR R. ZABEL SET UP FOR A NORMAL LANDING AT DOUBLE EAGLE AIRPORT (AEG), RUNWAY 210. WINDS WERE LIGHT AND VARIABLE. AFTER TOUCHDOWN, A HEAVY WIND GUST APPROXIMATELY 30-40 KNOTS FROM WEST MOVED THE AIRCRAFT OFF THE RUNWAY TO THE EAST. THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR CAUGHT IN THE DIRT AND FOLDED UNDER. NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT EXCEPT SCRATCHES ON BOTTOM OF THE RIGHT WING. NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
