## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC96LA089](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC96LA089), Apr 21, 1996: Cessna 152 (N89414), Greenville, NY, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to gain adequate airspeed due to inadequate planning in which he conducted a downwind takeoff, resulting in a stall mush, and collision with trees.

## Other reports on N89414 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19921123047659A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19921123047659A), Nov 23, 1992: Cessna 152 (N89414), Belmar, NJ, No damage, 1 fatal. Passenger fatal when he exited aircraft at 800 feet while in traffic pattern for runway.
