## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: BTA3335 WAS LEVEL AT 3000 FEET INBOUND TO NEWARK (EWR) AIRPORT APPROXIMATELY TWO NAUTICAL MILES SOUTH OF SPARTA (SAX) VOR. BTA3335 CLIMBED TO 3500 FEET IN RESPONSE TO A TCAS RESOLUTION ADVISORY, APPARENTLY CAUSED BY AN UNKNOWN VFR AIRCRAFT AT 3200 FEET. BTA3335 CAME WITHIN 500 FEET VERTICALLY OF N2654V, AN IFR C177 NORTHBOUND AT 4000 FEET. C2XA ADVISED THE TEB FSDO THAT ALL INFORMATION WAS REQUIRED TO GO THROUGH THEIR POI IN HOUSTON SW-09. WE HAD CALLED AND THEN SENT THE ATTACHED FAX. TO DATE, WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE. INCIDENT CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
