## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: DURING A CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT FROM MADISON, WISCONSIN TO ANTIGO AND RETURN AT APPROXIMATELY 4:00 P.M. MAY 12, 1996 A 8KCAB AMERICAN CHAMPION N102GD OWNED & OPERATED BY GERARD F. DOHM. MADE AN OFF AIRPORT LANDING ON AN OPEN FIELD. NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR PROPERTY. AND NO INJURIES. WEATHER NOT A FACTOR. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE PILOT MISCALCULATED HIS FUEL CONSUMPTION WHICH RESULTED IN FUEL EXHAUSTION AND MADE AN OFF AIRPORT LANDING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
