## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: MR. SANSONE WAS TAXIING HIS STUDENT'S C-182 AT NIGHT ON AN UNLIGHTED TAXIWAY AT LINDEN AIRPORT. HE TAXIED THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR OFF THE TAXIWAY. THE RIGHT WING TIP DROPPED AND THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND. THE RIGHT WING TIP THEN ALSO STRUCK THE GROUND, CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE WING TIP. WHILE THERE APPEARED TO BE NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE, THE MECHANIC ESTIMATED DAMAGE AT APPROXIMATELY $20,000. THE INSTRUCTOR, MR. SANSONE FAILED TO STOP WHEN HE COULD NOT SEE THE TAXIWAY. HE HAS BEEN RE-EXAMINED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE FAA ACT FOR HIS POOR JUDGMENT, AND AIRCRAFT CONTROL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
