## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PIC REPORTED THAT AFTER LANDING, THE POWER LEVERS WERE BROUGHT BACK TO THE GROUND IDLE POSITION. THE NO. 1 ENGINE ITT THEN ROSE TO APPROXIMATELY 970 DEGREES C. AND THE ENGINE THEN FLAMED OUT. NO EMERGENCY EVACUATION WAS NECESSARY. THE NO. 1 ENGINE WAS REMOVED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. THE ENGINE WAS SUBSEQUENTLY TORN-DOWN WITH A FAA AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTOR IN ATTENDANCE. NO IMMEDIATE CAUSE COULD BE DETERMINED. THE INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING. THE NEW ENGLAND AEG IS INVOLVED IN THE INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
