## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE LANDING OF N582AF INTO AN OPEN FIELD RESULTED IN MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. THE DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR, THE WING TIP FABRIC AND THE PROPELLER. AT THE TIME OF THE FAILURE, THERE WAS 18 GALLONS OF FUEL ON BOARD. WHEN THE FUEL WAS CHECKED NO CONTAMINATES WERE FOUND. THE AVID FLYER ACRO, N582AF 13 AN EXPERIMENTAL AMATEUR BUILT AIRCRAFT WITH A BOMBARDIER ROTAX ENGINE USING AUTOMOTIVE GAS. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO EITHER THE PILOT OR PASSENGER. NO FURTHER ACTION AT THIS TIME.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
