## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: DURING A MAINTENANCE NIGHTTIME TAXI OPERATION THE AIRCRAFT'S LEFT WING TIP AND CLOSURE RIB WAS DAMAGED AFTER STRIKING THE RIGHT WING TIP OF A WORLD AIRLINE'S DC-10 THAT WAS PARKED. THE INVESTIGATION DISCLOSED THAT THE AIRPORTS MARKINGS AND FACILITIES WERE ADEQUATE AND THE PERSONS INVOLVED WERE QUALIFIED. HOWEVER, FACTORS IN THE INVESTIGATION WERE DETERMINED TO BE DISTRACTION IN THE COCKPIT AT THE TIME OF TAXI AND THE DUTY TIME LIMITATION OF THE MECHANIC INVOLVED WAS NOT BEING TRACKED AS PER FAR 121.377. FSDO COORDINATION WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITH FAA-CHDO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THIS FSDO CONSIDERS THIS MATTER CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
