## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON JUNE 15, 1996, AT ABOUT 1130 PDT, A DELFIN L-29, N3159Y FLOWN BY A PRIVATE PILOT/OWNER DEPARTED THE RUNWAY TO THE LEFT WHILE TRYING TO LAND AT THE PORTERVILLE AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ABOUT 200 FEET SOUTH OF RUNWAY 30. THE RIGHT TIRE WAS BLOWN AND THE LEFT TIRE WAS WORN DOWN TO THE CHORD IN ONE SPOT. INVESTIGATION SHOWED THAT BOTH BRAKES SEEMED TO BE OPERATING NORMALLY AND IT LOOKED LIKE THERE WAS NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
