## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: WHILE ON A LOCAL FLIGHT, THE ENGINE STARTED RUNNING ROUGH AND LOSING POWER (RPM). THE PILOT LANDED ON HIGHWAY 2457, NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF FARM AND MARKET ROAD 26 (FM 26) APPROXIMATELY THREE MILES NORTHWEST OF LIVINGSTON, TEXAS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (OOR). ON ROLLOUT, THE AIRCRAFT LEFT THE CENTER OF THE ROAD TO THE RIGHT CAUSING THE RIGHT WING TO DROP, STRIKING THE GROUND WITH THE RIGHT WING TIP CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE. INVESTIGATION OF THE ENGINE, BY THE PILOT, ALSO HOLDER OF A MECHANIC'S CERTIFICATE, DID NOT DISCLOSE ANY MALFUNCTION OF THE ENGINE. HE STATED THAT PROBABLE CAUSE OF THE POWER LOSS WAS DUE TO A STUCK VALVE. PILOT ALSO STATED THAT HE HAD NOT TAKEN ANY CHECK RIDES OR HAD A BI-ANNUAL FLIGHT REVIEW WITHIN THE PRECEDING 36 MONTHS. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
