## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AFTER DEPARTURE FROM LIT, DURING CLIMB THE LEFT ENGINE VIBRATED SEVERELY AND LOST POWER. THE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN IN FLIGHT AND AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING WAS MADE AT LIT. ON THE GROUND, AN INSPECTION REVEALED NUMBER 4 CYLINDER HAD SEPARATED FROM THE CYLINDER BASE BETWEEN THE MOUNTING BASE AND COOLING FINS. IT APPEARS THAT THE CYLINDER FAILED BECAUSE OF METAL FATIGUE.

Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
