## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON JULY 3, 1996, AT APPROXIMATELY 1600 CDT, A BEECH A-36 LANDED AT F69 WITH THE LANDING GEAR IN THE RETRACTED POSITION. VFR CONDITIONS PREVAILED & NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE PRIVATE PILOT DEPARTED ADS AIRPORT APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE GEAR-UP LANDING. HE STATED THAT HIS INTENTION WAS TO LEAVE THE GEAR EXTENDED FOR THIS SHORT FLIGHT, AND HE DOESN'T REMEMBER EVER TOUCHING THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
