## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER DEPARTURE (ACK) FLIGHT CREW REPORTED GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT. CREW ATTEMPTED TO LOWER GEAR AND WERE UNABLE. CREW LOWERED GEAR MANUALLY. CREW NOTICED LEFT MAIN GEAR TIRE WAS 90 DEGREE TO ROTATION DIRECTION. CREW MADE POWER OFF LANDING AT (ISP) ON RWY 28. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO LEFT INBD FLAP SKIN AND FUSELAGE AFT OF PRESSURE BULK HEAD, SMALL HOLE IN SKIN. LEFT PROP HAD BLACK MARK ON TIP OF ONE BLADE, MAJOR DAMAGE LIMITED TO LEFT MLG STRUT. INVESTIGATION FOUND UPPER SCISSORS FAILED AT ATTACH BOLT TO LOWER STRUT SCISSORS CAUSING STRUT TO ATTACH BOLT TO LOWER STRUT SCISSORS CAUSING STRUT TO BECOME DETACHED FROM MLG ASSEMBLY. THIS CAUSE LOWER STRUT TO BECOME DETACHED UPON LANDING. NO PREVIOUS HISTORY OF LEFT MLG PROBLEMS. FAILED PART FORWARDED TO BEECH AIRCRAFT FOR DETERMINATION OF SCISSORS FAILURE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
