## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ACCORDING TO THE PILOT, HE LANDED WITH FULL FLAPS ON A 2500 FOOT HIGH ELEVATION MOUNTAIN AIRPORT. THE RUNWAY, EXCEPT FOR THE FINAL APPROACH, WAS SURROUNDED BY TREES. AFTER THE AIRCRAFT HAD ROLLED APPROXIMATELY 300 FEET, IT BEGAN TO VEER TO THE LEFT. THE PILOT TRIED TO CORRECT WITH RIGHT RUDDER BUT HAD NO SUCCESS. THE LEFT WING TIP HIT A TREE WHICH INCREASED THE LEFT TURN AND THE RIGHT WING TIP ALSO HIT A TREE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THERE WAS NO MECHANICAL MALFUNCTION. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ HE IS A NEW PRIVATE PILOT WITH A TOTAL OF 227 HOURS. CASE IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
