## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON JULY 10, 1996, AT ABOUT 1440 EDT, A BEECHCRAFT 35, N3958N, REGISTERED TO JOHN O'CONNELL, EXPERIENCED A COLLAPSE OF THE NOSE LANDING GEAR WHILE ON ROLLOUT ON RUNWAY 13 AT FORT LAUDERDALE EXECUTIVE AIRPORT, FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE PRIVATE PILOT, THE SOLE OCCUPANT, WAS NOT INJURED. THE FLIGHT WAS ORIGINATING AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT ON JULY 10, 1996. EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT AFTER THE INCIDENT REVEALED THAT THE NOSE GEAR ACTUATOR ARM P/N 35-825172-2 BROKE, CAUSING THE NOSE GEAR TO COLLAPSE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
