## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AFTER LANDING IN MARSH HARBOR, BAHAMAS, PILOT REPORTED RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. CLOSER INSPECTION REVEALED THAT THE UPPER GEAR LEG HAD SHEARED OFF ABOUT EIGHT INCHES FROM THE BOTTOM RIGHT HAND INBOARD, AND OUTBOARD FLAPS WERE DAMAGED. PROPELLER, ENGINE AND LANDING GEAR WERE REPLACED. THE LANDING GEAR ASSEMBLY WAS SENT TO Q.C. METALLURGICAL LABS FOR ANALYSIS. WILL ADVISE THROUGH MRR IF METAL DEFECT WAS CAUSE OF GEAR FAILURE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
