## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-16) N6708A WAS ON IFR FLIGHT PLAN FROM MKC TO COS. IN VICINITY OF OOV, PIC NOTICED A ROUGH RUNNING LEFT ENGINE. ASKED ATC FOR VECTORS TO NEAREST AIRPORT (00V). LANDED ON A ROAD NEXT TO COS VOR. LEFT WING STRUCK MAILBOX UPON LANDING. RIGHT TANK WAS EMPTY, LEFT TANK HAD 12 GALS. AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED TO 00V. MECHANICS AT 00V DETERMINED THAT BOTH FUEL LINES HAD BEEN REVERSED ON BOTH ENGINES TO FUEL SELECTOR VALVES. THEREFORE WHEN LEFT ENGINE QUIT, RIGHT TANK WAS DRY. MAINTENANCE REVERSED FUEL LINES & RETURNED AIRCRAFT TO SERVICE. COULD NOT SUBSTANTIATE WHEN THIS OCCURRED. NO EIR FILED.
