## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON APPROACH TO THE AIRPORT AT CENTRAL ALASKA THE PILOT LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR AND HAD ONLY TWO GREEN LIGHTS. HE ELECTED TO RETURN TO FAIRBANKS WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR WAS NOT LOCKING IN THE DOWN POSITION. AFTER CONSULTING WITH MAINTENANCE THE PILOT MADE SEVERAL PASSES DOWN THE RUNWAY WITH THE LANDING GEAR EXTENDED. THE OBJECT WAS TO APPLY A SIDE LOAD ON THE RIGHT GEAR IN HOPES THAT WOULD CAUSE THE DOWN LOCK TO ENGAGE. THE PILOT WAS EVENTUALLY SUCCESSFUL IN THIS EFFORT AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
