## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: LIT ATIS CONTAINED THE MESSAGE "SOUTH 1,000' OF RUNWAY 18/36 CLOSED". ACCORDING TO THE PILOT THE COPILOT LISTENED TO ATIS APPROXIMATELY 150 NM FROM LIT AS PREPARATION FOR THE DESCENT PHASE WAS BEING CONDUCTED. THE COPILOT RECORDED (WROTE) ATIS FOR THE CAPTAIN. THE CREW LISTENED TO ATIS A SECOND TIME BEFORE CONTACTING LIT ATC. ALL TAXIWAY CLOSURES AND OTHER DATA WAS NOTED EXCEPT FOR RWY 18/36 DATA. THE AIRCRAFT EXECUTED A NORMAL LANDING ON RWY 18 AND THE CREW NOTED SOME SAW HORSES LAYING ON THEIR SIDES AT THE SOUTH END OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED TO A STOP BETWEEN THE SAW HORSES THEN TURNED AROUND ON THE RWY JUST SOUTH OF THE SAW HORSES AND TAXIED BACK TO THE NEAREST TAXIWAY. NO CONTACT WAS MADE BETWEEN THE SAW HORSES AND THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOTS MISSED HEARING, ON THE ATIS BROADCAST, THE MESSAGE THAT THE LAST 1,000' OF RUNWAY 18 WAS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
