## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AIRCRAFT WAS ATTEMPTING TO DEPART 9A5, LAFAYETTE, GA ON TRIP TO PENNSYLVANIA. DURING THE TAXI OUT, THE HYDRAULIC PUMP FAILED AND HYDRAULIC PRESSURE WAS LOST AS A RIGHT TURN WAS IN PROGRESS. AN ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO CENTER THE NOSEWHEEL AND STOP THE AIRCRAFT USING THE EMERGENCY HAND OPERATED HYDRAULIC PUMP. THE ATTEMPT FAILED AND THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK ANOTHER AERO COMMANDER PARKED NEXT TO N55BW. DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO SHEETMETAL ON THE WING LEADING EDGE OF N55BW AND THE OTHER AEROCOMMANDER N6226B. WEATHER NOT A FACTOR. INCIDENT WAS ATTRIBUTED TO THE FAILED ENGINE DRIVEN HYDRAULIC PUMP. A MALFUNCTION AND DEFECT REPORT WAS MAILED TO THE MECHANIC WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO COMPLETE AND FORWARD TO OKLAHOMA CITY, VIA THE ATLANTA FSDO.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
