## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT STATED THAT DURING CRUISE HE THOUGHT THAT THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING ROUGH AND OR MALFUNCTIONING. AS A RESULT, HE ELECTED TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN A WHEAT AND CORN FIELD. ON LANDING, THE NOSEGEAR COLLAPSED AND THE FIBERGLAS FUSELAGE WAS CRACKED. IT WAS NOTED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS OBSERVED AS THREE QUARTERS FULL. THIS INCIDENT AND REPORT IS CLOSED. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE TEST ENGINE RUN WAS SATISFACTORY AFTER THE LANDING AND THAT HE WILL PERFORM ADDITIONAL TESTS ON THE ENGINE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
