## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

BOUNCED ON LANDING AND THE NOSE STRUCK THE GROUND. (-23) DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT INDICATES A SUBSTANTIAL IMPACT TO LOWER ENGINE AND NOSE GEAR. IT APPEARS THAT THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED THE EARTH AT ABOUT A 20-30 DEGREE ANGLE BEFORE SKIDDING FOR ABOUT 180 FEET. THE NOSE GEAR STRUT WAS SNAPPED OFF NEAR THE FORK BUT REMAINED ATTACHED BY THE SCISSORS LINK. MARKS ON THE SOD STRIP INDICATED 4 PROP STRIKES, 3 OF THEM BEFORE THE NOSE IMPACTED. THERE WAS A MIST OF OIL OVER THE AREA OF THE PROP STRIKES, STARTING NEAR THE FIRST ONE. THERE WERE NO OTHER NOTICABLE MARKS AHEAD OF THESEBU T THE GROUND WAS HARD. IT APPEARS THAT THE AIRCRAFT EITHER BOUNCED FIRST, OR JUST LANDED IN AN EXTREMELY NOSE DOWN CONDITION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

A factor relating to the accident was: the pilot's lack of familiarity with the make and model of airplane.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
