## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT REPORTED THAT AIRCRAFT ENCOUNTERED HEAVY AIRFRAME VIBRATION WHILE AT CRUISE FLIGHT AT AN ALTITUDE OF 4500' AGL. POWER WAS REDUCED AND AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING WAS ACCOMPLISHED ON A NEARBY HIGHWAY. AN INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT DISCLOSED THAT A PIECE OF THE ENGINE EXHAUST PIPE SEPARATED FROM THE POWERPLANT EXHAUST SYSTEM BECAUSE OF FATIGUE FAILURE. THE DISLODGED PART STRUCK THE PROPELLER CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE TIP OF THE PROPELLER. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
