## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT, WHO HAD RECENTLY PURCHASED THE EXPERIMENTAL AMATEUR BUILT AIRCRAFT, WAS PERFORMING TAXI AND HIGH-SPEED TAXI OPERATIONS TO GET THE 'FEEL' OF THE AIRCRAFT AND AIRCRAFT CONTROLS. DURING A HIGH-SPEED TAXI, THE AIRCRAFT LIFTED OFF THE RUNWAY AND UPON ATTEMPTED LANDING, IT BOUNCED ABOUT 10 TO 12 FEET INTO THE AIR. THE PILOTS ACTION TO ABORT THE FLIGHT RESULTED IN THE AIRCRAFT PROPELLER STRIKING THE GROUND AT THE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY AND WAS TAXIED BACK TO THE TERMINAL BUILDING AND PARKED. THE PILOT WAS TREATED FOR MINOR BACK INJURY AND RELEASED APPROXIMATELY 3 HOURS LATER. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
