## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON AUGUST 11, 1996, AT 1155 EDT, A BELLANCA, 7-KCAB, N9008L, REGISTERED TO PHILLIPS AIRCRAFT COMPANY, GROUND LOOPED WHILE PRACTICING TAKE-OFFS AND LANDINGS AT WILLIAMSPORT, PA. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE, AND THE PILOT, THE SOLE OCCUPANT, WAS NOT INJURED. LOSS OF DIRECTIONAL CONTROL DURING LANDING PLACED SIDE LOAD ON MAIN GEAR CAUSING LEFT MAIN TO SEPARATE FROM STRUT. AIRPLANE GROUND LOOPED CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO LEFT FUSELAGE AND LEFT STRUT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
