## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB FTW96LA346](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/FTW96LA346), Aug 11, 1996: Aero Commander S2R (N8992Q), Hatch, NM, substantial damage. Probable cause: a loss of engine power for undetermined reasons. A factor was the lack of suitable terrain for a forced landing.

- [Incident 19840726066929I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19840726066929I), Jul 26, 1984: Ayres S2* (N8992Q), Casa Grande, AZ, Minor damage. During takeoff roll aircraft drifted to side catching gear in dirt on unimproved ag strip.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong.
