- [NTSB NYC96LA177](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC96LA177), Aug 25, 1996: Cessna 152 (N45949), Rome, NY, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's improper decision to take off on a runway of insufficient length, and his failure to obtain adequate airspeed.

## Other reports on N45949 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19850413025939I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19850413025939I), Apr 13, 1985: Cessna 152 (N45949), Durhamville, NY, Minor damage. Porpoised and lost directional control. Aircraft veered off side of runway, nose wheel collapsed, went over on back

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
