## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: UPON LANDING AT EUGENE AIRPORT, OR ON 8/26/96 AT 5:50 P.M., AIRCRAFT N327UA, FLIGHT NO. 1211, INGESTED AN OWL IN THE NO. 2 ENGINE. THE OWL WAS ON THE CENTERLINE AND NOT VISIBLE TO FLIGHT CREW. THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED TO THE GATE THEN SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE NORMALLY. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL INSPECTED THE DAMAGE AND FOUND ALL DAMAGE CONTAINED WITHIN THE ENGINE NACELLE. THIS REPORT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
