## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: DURING AERIAL APPLICATION OPERATIONS, THE FAILURE OF THE SPRAY SYSTEM PUMP FAN CAUSED SEVERE AIRCRAFT VIBRATION. THE PILOT INITIATED AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN AN OPEN FIELD. DUE TO THE WET CONDITION OF THE SELECTED LANDING SITE, THE AIRCRAFT WAS UNABLE TO STOP IN THE CONFINES OF THE FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT CROSSED A TWO (2) LANE COUNTY ROAD COMING TO A STOP IN A GRAPE VINEYARD. THERE WAS NO INJURY TO THE SOLE OCCUPANT (PILOT) AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
